First connection with Mongo Management Studio

If When Mongo Management Studio is started for the first startedtime, the following popup appears after clicking on onto "Connect" to enter a new server connection.

...

  • Name: A self-chosen name for the connection
  • Server connection: A valid MongoDB connection string (http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/reference/connection-string/)
  • Login database: Only required for active with activated MongoDB authentication. Determined,  Determines against which database should to be authenticated. Default is „admin“.
  • Destination database: Only required for active with activated MongoDB authentication. Determines  to which database should be connected to. Is the With disabled MongoDB authentication disabled, all databases are always displayed.
  • Default connection: Tagged Tags this connection as default.  Each time the application On each applications' start it is automatically connected to this connection. Can only be selected for one connection.
  • Color: The color of the server icon, for better identification of Tabsdifferentiating tabs.

After input successful entry and corresponding click on the button "Save and connect" the application attempts to connect to the specified server. If this is successful, the connection is automatically saved.

Connect to stored configurations

Are there already connections and the button With existing saved connections, a click onto the "Connect" will clicked, button shows a popup appears as shown below.

The user is now able to connect by means of an existing connection, or to to previously saved connections, delete or edit them or create a new connection. Of course there is also the option to edit or delete previously saved connections.

If a new connection should shall be created, a form opens after clicking on the corresponding button and the entries can be madeto fill in the appropriate information.
